The patient was seriously injured as a result of a traffic accident. The patient was brought to our hospital with a fracture of the neck where important ways of communication between the brain and the body passed through the esophagus, trachea and carotid artery. When her condition partially improved, we decided to perform surgery without waiting for the neck fracture to cause further damage to the spinal cord. Such surgeries are not very common. It was successfully performed in our hospital. Furthermore, we prevented the damage to the spinal cord caused by the fracture of the patient's neck and the paralysis of the hand and arm as a result of the operation performed. ”
